Laurie’s design approach is hands-on and interactive. She believes that you are an integral part of the creative design process– because after all, your home is your sacred place to unwind after a long day.

Laurie also maintains the philosophy that great design and décor doesn’t have to be created from scratch or with a large budget.
She enjoys implementing unique and sentimental pieces you already own: one, it saves you money, and two, makes for a truly custom and unique design.
As well as working with existing pieces, Laurie pursues rare flea market finds, and is a fan of refurbishing, repurposing, and upcycling whenever possible. This falls in line with Laurie’s commitment to green design ethics, and makes for one-of-a kind pieces that cannot be found in big box stores.
Laurie is inspired by, and prefers to blend multiple design styles into a truly original space which is tastefully diverse and mutually exclusive.
Her design styles and aesthetics include, but are not limited to: Transitional, Modern, Urban Industrial, Rustic Modern, Light Mediterranean, Eclectic, Ethnic, Mid-Century Modern, Desert Modern, Santa Fe, Coastal, and Mountain Modern.

Call me crazy, but we had such a good time that I actually miss all the excitement!
The first time I spoke to Laurie I was thinking of doing “a little updating” to my kitchen. The more we talked about it the more I realized that Laurie was the person who could make my vision a reality.
She asked questions and listened to my input. She really cared about what was important to me, so no small wonder that her work reflected my personality.
The planning was the longest part of the process because we were making a kitchen that needed to be beautiful, functional and efficient. She is so knowledgeable and capable.
As I met various contractors each one was as competent and professional as she was. Laurie guided me through the process and didn’t miss a detail. Even when my kitchen was nothing but an empty shell and my bar in the den became my campfire kitchen I never doubted whether it would be worth it.
Laurie was on top of it all the way through…returning all my texts, emails and calls without fail. I highly recommend her and would do it again.

Laurie is a brilliant designer and a joy to work with!
She helped us transform our Tahoe vacation home into a mountain sanctuary that we both love returning to again and again. We have worked with many interior designers over the years but we have never had an experience like we had with Laurie.
In our experience, most interior designers lead too strongly with their own taste and ideas and don’t allow their clients’ unique personalities to guide the process.
